At Magnetic Pharisburg United Methodist Church, we are excited to introduce our new website as a tool to extend our mission of being the “salt of the earth” and “light of the world,” just as Jesus commanded us. In Matthew 5:13-14, Jesus says, "You are the salt of the earth... You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. "These verses remind us that as Christians, we are called to bring hope, truth, and the message of God’s love to the world around us. Our new website is a powerful way to fulfill this calling.

Through this platform, we can share the good news of Jesus Christ with people beyond the walls of our church, reaching hearts near and far. Whether you’re a longtime member or visiting us for the first time, our website is designed to provide inspiration, resources, and opportunities to grow in your faith. You’ll find blog posts, event updates, sermons, and ways to connect with our church family.

In Romans 10:17, Paul writes, "So faith comes from hearing and hearing through the word of Christ. "With our website, we are spreading the Word of God to all who would hear it. By offering access to sermons and messages online, we’re making it easier for those seeking spiritual nourishment to find it, whether they are nearby or across the world.

Our online presence also serves as a way to reflect Jesus' light in the digital world. In Matthew 5:16, Jesus urges, "Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. "We hope that through our website, visitors will see how we live out our faith through service, fellowship, and love, and that they will be inspired to join us in glorifying God.

As we continue to embrace technology in a way that supports our mission, our new website will serve as a bridge between the church and the broader community, helping us stay connected, informed, and united in our purpose. Living Out Jesus’ Call to Be Good Neighbors

At Magnetic Pharisburg United Methodist Church, we believe that living out our faith means more than just worship on Sundays—it means serving our community and loving our neighbors, as Jesus taught us. In Luke 10:27, Jesus said, "Love your neighbor as yourself. "This simple yet powerful command challenges us to be compassionate and caring toward others, offering a helping hand when it's needed most.

One way we are putting this into action is through our partnership with the Hope Center to provide food for families in our community. Recently, we hosted an event where church members and volunteers from the Hope Center came together to distribute food to those in need. It was a day filled with love, generosity, and a spirit of service. As we packed and handed out food, we were reminded of Matthew 25:35, where Jesus said," For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink." Through this outreach, we are not just meeting physical needs but embodying the love of Christ by caring for others as He cares for us.

In addition to the food distribution, we also recently hosted an antique car show, which brought the community together for a fun, family-friendly event. While the car show celebrated classic vehicles, it was also an opportunity to strengthen our community bonds and invite new friends to experience the welcoming nature of o

ur church family. Events like these allow us to extend our love and fellowship beyond our doors, reminding us that being a good neighbor means creating spaces where everyone can feel included and valued.

Our outreach efforts are about more than just giving—they're about being present for our community in meaningful ways. Whether we're sharing food with those who need it or bringing joy through fellowship events, we are committed to following Jesus’ example of service, compassion, and love.
